  • GracePointe is a dynamic life giving church. We believe in God The Father, His only son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again three days later and is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us, and the Holy Spirit. We believe we can have an intimate relationship with God, speak with Him, and hear from Him. We believe in the gifts of the spirit that were poured out on Pentecost and that each person can operate in those gifts on a daily basis. We believe in a five-fold minstry, meaning apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

    Shelton Covenant Ministries is a Michigan Ecclesiastical Corporation (Church) under the direction of Dr. R. Kenneth Shelton (Bishop and Founding Pastor). Also known as GracePointe, SCM functions in partnership with the Church of God and Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries and provides spiritual and ministerial oversight for a wide range of ministries.  For more detailed information about SCM, click on OUR MINISTRIES page.

    The Church is a vital, living organism. Therefore, we visualize our organizational overview as a molecular structure; living, changing, and moving. The five ministries mentioned in Ephesians 4 are demonstrated as the larger circles. Each one is augmented as the Holy Spirit motivates leaders to creatively imagine and develop new ministries.   • DR. KEN SHELTON - BISHOP, FOUNDING PASTOR

     

    R. Kenneth and Kathrine Shelton are the founding pastors and bishops of Shelton Covenant Ministries.  Dr. Shelton is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) and is an Apostolic Overseer with the Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries. He received his ministerial training at Lee University and Trinity Theological Seminary and received a Doctor of Divinity from Life Christian University.  In May 1974 he and Kitty were married and launched their ministry.  They have three married adult daughters and several grandchildren. Kathrine Shelton (Kitty) is also an ordained minister and educator with a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Children’s Literature from Eastern Michigan University. The Shelton’s are frequent conference speakers on topics ranging from local church ministry to family life along with Bishop Ken’s music ministry.

  • REV. JEFF ORAN & ALLISON ORAN - EXECUTIVE PASTOR & WORSHIP PASTOR

     

    Pastors Jeff and Allison Oran are ordained ministers through Shelton Covenant Ministries and Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries. They have been married for almost ten years and have two sons with another child on the way. Jeff is working on his degree in Computer Information Systems and Allison has her degree in Music Theory from Eastern Michigan University. They reside in Brighton, MI and have been staff members at GracePointe for five years.
